this just happened
i think the reason why i love drifting so much is because it reminds me a lot of skateboarding which ruled my life for a while when i was growing up. hanging out with friends, watching endless videos, and talking about it non stop day in and day out, watching the pros do it, getting pumped up cause you just did your first kickflip. the feel is very similar. i remember going skateboarding the very first time, when i got to the spot everyone there was already so good that all i did was pick a corner and sit and watch. it got to the point where i got so pumped up that i stood up and actually skated around. after a few runs i asked one of the guys if they could show me a thing or two. i let em use my board and they showed me with my board how its done…
last sat. felt very similar to this, ever since i started drifting i’ve been having doubts about my car setup and skills, sure i could do the basics but i just needed that extra push to the right direction. that push came in the name of Jesus Mendoza. he drove my 13 and showed me what its capable of. showed me what i was doing wrong and gave me tips that sure enough worked. the day ended with him murdering whats left of my set, and that to me was satisfaction enough.
i guess thats why drifting appeals to me more than any other motor sport. ive been there before, i loved every minute of it, eventually got to the point where i couldnt do it any more, now it feels like its skateboarding day one all over again. and i just cant get over how awesome its gonna be from here on out.
KEEP DRIFTING FUN
